Crystals & fairies

Can't believe it's Saturday once again! It's been a quick old week.  This week has been busy getting stock created for my 2 new outlets.  Alternative therapies is the theme for these. A range of cards based around crystals and gemstones in one shop and all things fairies/angels/mermaids for the other.

This week is going to be another busy one creating for another 2 outlets! I think I will need to be doing a night shift or 2 in order to keep up.
Enough waffle, best get on.

Gelli on a plate

Yesterday I was a bit excited to receive my gelli plate! Have watched Barbara Gray creating masterpieces with it and thought that I would like to have a go. Well, here is the first print.

I am rather chuffed with the result.  I just slapped on the yellow paint then added the flower mask and sponge the paint on to give texture to the print, followed by a little white paint to knock it back in areas. And there you have it, my first gelli plate print. This morning I decided that I would use my print to create a background for a card. Here it is.

First time blog

Welcome to my first ever blog! I've had a mind to do this for absolutely ages but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.  Today is my little crafty venture's second birthday. Hard to believe. How quickly time goes by.  Well, having had a terrible 2013, I am determined that 2014 will be a good year.  This week has brought 3 outlets for my cards and artwork so I'm busy creating particular ranges to suit the outlets. I promise to post some photos once I've got my head round this blogging business.
